"Door to Another World"

I made this photograph in 2018. I neglected to note the location, and when I returned in 2019 I could not find the street again. More recently I learnt that street numbers are the key to addresses in Venice, because buildings are located by the use of ever increasing numbers within a district. A street number is unique in a district. If you look closely you will see that this door is numbered 3521a. So once you find the correct district, just go from door to door watching the numbers increase or decrease as you get closer and closer until you find your address! Easy!
